Attorney Emily Gibson graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law cum laude in 2008 after working for a non-profit Latino advocacy organization in Siler City, NC. Throughout her studies, Ms. Gibson was the Chair of the Hispanic Law Students Association and concentrated in criminal litigation studies.
After graduating, she practiced solely criminal defense at the Office of the Public Defender in Asheville, NC for several years. After returning to the Triangle, she has continued to work primarily in the area of criminal defense, continuing with both felony and misdemeanor work, as well as a variety of traffic matters.
Ms. Gibson continues to do volunteer work for El Vinculo Hispano, the non-profit for which she previously worked. She has traveled internationally, working on economic development and environmental sustainability projects, and is bicultural.
